Following a 5 year R&D project Tiki International have unveiled the first production models in their new cutting edge Carbon Bamboo composite technology. The construction uses High Density EPS core, Bamboo layers and Carbon rails to create a board with the strength and weight advantages of modern Epoxy construction but the natural feeling of Bamboo and responsive performance of Carbon.

Dubbed the Feather Foil due to it’s extraordinary strength to weight ratio, the technology has been implemented in 3 new shapes created by world renowned shaper Bruce McKee.

MATERIALS:
- HD-EPS stringerless blank.
- 2oz, Bamboo, Carbon, 6oz patches, 4 oz top: 5 layer composite
- (2oz, Bamboo, Carbon, 2oz bottom)
- strength and precision of Carbon with natural feel of Bamboo
- Max strength : weight ratio BUT also best FEEL, not ‘tinny’ like a sandwich epoxy.

ECO:
- EPS off-cuts are recyclable
- Epoxy resin has 70% less VOC’s
- Bamboo is sustainable
- Carbon increases product lifespan

PROCESS:
- CNC shaped, then all lamination and finishing is BY HAND: not sandwich, moulded or vacuum bagged.

EXTRAS:
- fin tuning: Surfinz boxes allow 1/2” overall fin adjustment forward and back allowing fine tuning to conditions.
